About Tirthan Anglers' Retreat

Tucked into a coniferous recess at the bottom of a short winding path (roughly 200 metres), Tirthan Anglers’ Retreat is hemmed in by a lively trout-rich stream on one side with terraced fields and woodlands along the others.

It is located at 6000 feet on the right bank of the Palachan in Barnagi village, six kilometres beyond Gushaini and a mere four kilometres short of Bathad, the road head. The retreat’s enviable setting assures it a seclusion most welcome and a clime most genial.

What’s more, anglers need look no further than the boulder-strewn riverbank bordering the retreat. Pools teeming with freshwater fish, line most of the stretch here.
