About Us
Nestled within a grove of coniferous trees, a brief stroll down a winding path of approximately 200 meters reveals Tirthan Anglers’ Retreat. Flanked by a lively stream abundant with trout on one side, and terraced fields and woodlands on the other, it offers a serene escape.
Perched at 6000 feet on the right bank of the Palachan in Barnagi village, it lies six kilometers past Gushaini and just four kilometers shy of Bathad, the road head. The retreat’s secluded location ensures tranquility and a welcoming climate.
Anglers will find their haven along the boulder-strewn riverbank adjacent to the retreat, where pools brimming with freshwater fish line the stretch.

Weather
At 6000ft, it can get rather nippy morning and evening; all day if it rains. Bring a woollen or jacket regardless of season.

“Went there a week back. Something about this place made me decide instantly that this was where I wanted to be. A rather good decision, I must say. Away from the main road, a walk down amidst trees already prepares you for nature’s cradle. The river front is breathtaking. You can sit there for hours listening to the gurgling river, reverbrating with chirpings of a blue whistling thrush or the little water redstart, hopping from one boulder to another. Nice place to unwind as the sun and the clouds play hide and seek all day long, creating magic in the valley.”

“Out of the this world! Though it’s rated as a 3 star property, the ambience and surrounding views cannot be quantified in stars. Food was at par with any five star resort and the service was excellent. Dilsher is doing a wonderful job of mixing work with pleasure!!”
